Berkeley moved back to Aspen in 2007 specifically to open Tulips because she thought a business like this would be a nice addition to her home town.  She wanted to offer a salon experience that was different and more fun than the typical establishments one sees in the spa industry; to offer a high level of quality, but pair it with a transparent and unbuttoned environment.
